We are seeking an experienced painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting various surfaces using different techniques and tools. They must have experience working with brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other painting equipment, and be able to interpret project specifications. The painter will work independently or as part of a team and must have good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and smoothing out rough spots and surfaces
Clean surfaces and remove old paint to prepare surfaces for painting
Choose and mix paints and other coatings to prepare the right color or texture
Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, including wood, metal, concrete, and plaster
Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other painting equipment to apply coatings
Ensure that surfaces are properly coated and that the final product is even and free of blemishes
Inspect and repair damaged paint and coatings
Maintain tools and equipment
Communicate with clients and project managers to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
Requirements:
No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
1 year to less than 2 years of painting experience.
Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and equipment, and their safe operation.
Ability to interpret project specifications and choose the right materials and coatings for each job.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical dexterity and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work
Terms of Employment:
Seasonal employment, Full-time, starting as soon as 2023-05-01.
