Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced general contractor to oversee and manage construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. They must have experience managing subcontractors and working with clients, architects, and engineers. The general contractor will work independently or as part of a team and must have excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
  • Manage subcontractors and supervise their work, ensuring that they adhere to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
  • Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure that project goals and specifications are met.
  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Identify and resolve construction problems and issues that arise during construction projects.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, project status updates, and budget reports to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage project budgets and financial forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management or general contracting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and working with clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
